Wolves Fan Interview - Number 5 - BloggerWolf

The fifth Vital Wolves fan interview of the summer has now been completed and next into the the hot seat is BloggerWolf.

BloggerWolf is from the writing team on Vital Wolves!

Question number 1: What is your username on Vital Wolves?

BloggerWolf

Question 2: How long have you supported Wolves?

I have supported them all my life.

Question 3: How did you become a Wolves fan?

My father is a Wolves fan, he moved down to London from Wolverhampton before I was born and nearly my whole family are Wolves fans. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Question 4: If you could pick one highlight as a Wolves fan what would it be?

In 2003, I was only eight but remember that Kennedy goal clearly. Last season when we secured promotion. Probably the best I've ever seen Wolves play was against West Ham, beating them basically secured survival and we looked like a Premier League team.

Question 5: Who is your all time favourite Wolves player?

I was a huge fan of Joleon Lescott when he was at the club, and Matt Murray has always been a favourite. Doyle runs them both close too.

Question 6: What was your assessment of last season?

Our target was to survive, in my eyes, and we did that. Anything above 17th was a bonus and to finish 15th was great. At times, we looked in trouble but Mick proved his critics wrong and our very young squad pulled through. Hopefully, with our new additions, we can push on and finish somewhere in the middle of the table.

Question 7: Are you pro or anti Mick McCarthy?

Pro! He is our best manager for a long time, what he has done is nothing short of remarkable.

Question 8: If money and status was no object, who would you most like to see in a Wolves shirt?

There are plenty of obvious ones like Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney but imagine having a world class centre back like Vidic or Ferdinand. I'll go for Vidic as he knows Nenad.

Question 9: Predictions for the World Cup, how far will England get, how will we get knocked out and who will go on to win it?

I think England will do alright, they could get to the semis. I think Brazil will go far, and Spain have a fantastic side. Argentina, Portugal and France will struggle in this world cup. I think an African team will do well in this tournament, and I'd back it to be Ivory Coast. They have one of the best strikers in the world and a very good manager. Brazil to beat them in the final.

Question 10: Predictions for Wolves next season, where do we need to strengthen, should Mick stick with one up front?

It is very possible that we will be in a relegation battle, similarly to the one we were just in. I think we will pull away towards the end and finish 14th. I don't think we badly need to strengthen, a right winger might be nice (depending on Kites' fitness) and a centre back would be the final piece of the jigsaw.

Question 11: Where do you travel from to see the wolves play?

London. I hope to see many more games next season too.

Question 12: How do you see Sylvain Ebanks-Blake figuring into the team this upcoming season, if at all?

In Doyle, Fletcher and Ebanks-Blake. We have three forwards who can score goals. A confident Sylvan can score goals in the Premier League, and I wouldn't be surprised if he broke in the team.

Question 13: Do you think Wolverhampton can establish themselves in the Premier League and once again, become a great club?

Yes! We have the support, and with the new stadium plans we can establish ourselves.

Question 14: Has your support for Wolverhampton Wanderers ever wavered?

Never.

Question 15: What is your question for the next interviewee on Vital Wolves?

What is your favourite ever Wolves goal.

Thanks to BloggerWolf for agreeing to be our fifth interview!
