'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Old Boy Breaks Kiwi's Euro Duck

Former Wolves player and current NZ National coach Ricki Herbert has led the New Zealand All Whites to their first ever football victory on European soil.

The All Whites outclassed Georgia 3-1 in Tallin at the weekend, with 2 goals from veteran striker Vaughan Coveny, and one from Hibs centre forward Chris Killen.

'This is a huge result for our game and our country and surely goes a long way to putting the game back on the map,' said Coveny after the match in which he became New Zealands all time top scorer.

Ricki Herbert made 55 appearances for Wolves betwen 1984 and 1986 before returning to New Zealand to play for Mount Wellington
