The eleventh Vital Wolves fan interview of the summer has now been completed and next into the the hot seat is YorkshireWolves.
Question number 1: What is your username on Vital Wolves?
YorkshireWolves
Question 2: How long have you supported Wolves?
From birth (1961) went to my 1st game at Molineux in January 1971 v Coventry City which was a 0-0 draw (perhaps I should have taken the hint)
Question 3: How did you become a Wolves fan?
My older brother is to thank for that.
Question 4: If you could pick one highlight as a Wolves fan what would it be?
The 1974 League Cup Final, I was there, I was only 12 and I was just gobsmacked, I still get goosebumps now when I think about it, all those Gold & Black flags and banners, King John`s winner and the ticket cost me 80p - wonderful memories.
Question 5: Who is your all time favourite Wolves player?
John Richards, class player & Wolves through & through, how he only won 1 cap is a travesty, if he`d played for Arsenal he`d have got a cupboard full.
Question 6: What was your assessment of last season?
As well as could be expected, I would have taken our final league position in August and we had some good performances against some very well established teams.
Question 7: Are you pro or anti Mick McCarthy?
Pro - Rome wasn`t built in a day!
Question 8: If money and status was no object, who would you most like to see in a Wolves shirt?
Steven Gerrard
Question 9: Predictions for the World Cup, how far will England get, how will we get knocked out and who will go on to win it?
I hope we`re one of those sides that improve steadily throughout the tournament and if so we can get to the Semis or even the Final, knowing us though it will most likely end in a Quarter Final defeat on Penalties, I`ve got a feeling it will be Brazil (again).
Question 10: Predictions for Wolves next season, where do we need to strengthen, should Mick stick with one up front?
I`d like to think we will do slightly better than last season, creativity in midfield and some pace on the flanks, in certain games yes but I`d like to see a bit more adventure against mid-bottom table teams.
Question 11: Where do you travel from to see the wolves play?
Shipley, West Yorkshire
Question 12: How do you see Sylvain Ebanks-Blake figuring into the team this upcoming season, if at all?
Probably from the bench unless injuries dictate otherwise, bit of a shame really because if anybody deserves a second chance it`s him but you can`t be sentimental in the big boys league.
Question 13: Do you think Wolverhampton can establish themselves in the Premier League and once again, become a great club?
I don`t see any reason why not, surely if the Boltons, Wigans & Blackburns of this world can, then we should be able to, It needs to start from the top though and I think the 3Ms clearly have a plan and as the old saying goes "Failing to plan is planning to fail" and they`ll always be a great club to me.
Question 14: Has your support for Wolverhampton Wanderers ever wavered?
Never, I really did go to the Bury`s & Stockports in the 80s
Question 15: Where do you think Wolves will finish next season?
12th - 15th
Question 16: What is your question for the next interviewee on Vital Wolves?
What is your favourite bit of Wolves trivia?
Question 17: Do you think when Mick changed the whole side against Man Utd was a good decision or not and what would you think if he did it next season ?
Good decision, I had no issues with it at the time given we`d just got 3 points from Spurs and we ended up getting 3 against Burnley, so it was justified, had you asked any fan before those 3 games if they`d take 6 points they`d have snapped your hand off, I think he`ll be a bit cuter next season though.
Question 18: What Wolves player from history would you want in next seasons team?
Kenny Hibbert, exactly what we`re missing, great engine, could pick a pass and scored regularly from midfield.
Question 19: If you could attend any game in Wolves history, which would it be and why?
FA Cup Final 1960 - My dad`s cousin Norman Deeley scored 2 goals for us, I sincerely hope I live to see Wolves in an FA Cup Final
