Wolves Zoned Out
Wolves CEO Jez Moxey has told teh clubs official site that the black country club plan to drop the use of Pro-zone, the hi-tech computerised performance analysis tool.
The system was initially installed by manager Glenn Hoddle during his first months in charge, and was utilised throughout the whole of the last failed campaign, with on field results leaving many with grave doubts over its validity.
'We will not be continuing with Pro-zone. We are having to make cut backs and this is something we have decided to sacrifice - although we have retained an option to use some of the facilities on a smaller scale in the future.' Jez told the club's pofficial site, adding
'We employed the whole system last season and remain supporters of it. But in not opting to use Pro-zone for the coming campaign, the club will save in the region of £100,000.'
Pro-zone is seen by many leading coaches as central to their pre match build up, and post match autopsy, and is used extensively throughout The Premiership.
But with Wanderers facing up to a new bleaker financial future, it now joins the growing list of casualties in the new cut back era.
