The thirteenth Vital Wolves fan interview of the summer has now been completed and next into the the hot seat is BullysBestMate.
Question number 1: What is your username on Vital Wolves?
Question 2: How long have you supported Wolves?
Always been a fan, but really got involved when I moved to Wolverhampton about 20 years ago and started working at the Molineux selling balti pies!
Question 3: Where do you travel from to see the wolves play?
I'm straight outta Compton
Question 4: How did you become a Wolves fan?
It's my Mum's fault
Question 5: Are you pro or anti Mick McCarthy?
I like him. He's straight talking and knows what we are capable of. He has a lot of respect from the dressing room and I like him on the Beeb too
Question 6: What was your assessment of last season?
A complete success. We aimed for survival and got 15th. Most Wolves fans expected 17th at best
Question 7: Do you think when Mick changed the whole side against Man Utd was a good decision or not and what would you think if he did it next season?
I thought it was disappointing as United were in bad form and dropped points to weak teams at that point of the season. I really wanted to see us have a pop at them. Having said that, it paid off cos we stayed up because of the points we got off Burnley. I think it is a disgrace that West Ham dropped key players when they played us and nothing was said about it!
Question 8: Do you think Wolverhampton can establish themselves in the Premier League and once again, become a great club?
Absolutely. We have a great set up and are showing real ambition on and off the field. We have a new pitch for next season, 2 record signings playing up front and designs for a really impressive stadium. The future's bright. The future's orange
Question 9: Predictions for Wolves next season, where do we need to strengthen, should Mick stick with one up front?
Wolves need to aim at a solid mid table position next season. This means winning games and not getting hammered by the Big 4/5/6 (what is it now?) I think we need a solid holding midfielder and would like to see us sign Mokoena from Portsmouth. Then maybe get one more centre back - Campbell if he is available? We have a good squad and hopefully the lads will have learned a bit from last season and play even better in 2010-2011
Question 10: Where do you think Wolves will finish next season?
Question 11: How do you see Sylvain Ebanks-Blake figuring into the team this upcoming season, if at all?
He'll be good back up to Doyle and Fletcher. I really want to see him after a good pre season and with some confidence in his play. No reason he can't be pushing for a first team place if everything goes his way. I really want him to stay and show that he can do it in the Premier League. Na na na na na na na na, na na na na na na na na, Sylvain Ebanks-Blake. Ebanks-Blake, Sylvain Ebanks-Blake!
Question 12: If you could pick one highlight as a Wolves fan what would it be?
We invented the Champions League!
Question 13: What is the worst Wolves match you have ever seen and why?
Worst match last season has to be against Arsenal when Bendtner scored in the last minute. I was gutted for the lads. Worst match ever... probably losing to Baggies in the play-offs
Question 14: Has your support for Wolverhampton Wanderers ever wavered?
No. And it is sky high
Question 15: Who is your all time favourite Wolves player?
A lad from Tipton who used to play for Baggies and invented the 'Beckham' hair cut
Question 16: If money and status was no object, who would you most like to see in a Wolves shirt?
Wayne Rooney scoring in front of the Jack Harris wearing a Stevie Bull shirt
Question 17: What Wolves player from history would you want in next seasons team?
Is this even a question? Guess. It's not Silas
Question 18: If you could attend any game in Wolves history, which would it be and why?
4 - 3 against Leicester. I have goose bumps even thinking about that game
Question 19: What is your favourite bit of Wolves trivia?
In the 50's, football played under floodlights was still a novelty, and the summer of 1953 saw the first set of lights installed at Molineux, which were first tested in a friendly game against a South African XI. Over the next months, Wolves played a series of famous 'floodlit friendlies' against foreign opposition.
Racing Club of Argentina, Spartak Moscow of the USSR, Honvéd of Hungary who had many players in the side who had humbled England twice, and had been 1954 World Cup finalists. Wolves came from two goals down at half time to beat the Hungarian side 3-2! The national media went on to proclaim Wolves 'Champions of the World'.
Question 20: What is your question for the next interviewee on Vital Wolves?
