Chelsea to sell Mancienne

The news that Wolves fans everywhere have been waiting for! Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell Michael Mancienne!

It will not please the Chelsea fans over on our Vital sister site, but the Express & Star believe that word is filtering through to Molineux, that Chelsea are likely to declare their intentions to sell Mancienne.

Vital Wolves Comment: Mancienne will obviously be a target for us as he has made 40 league appearances in the Championship and Premier League over the last two seasons, we could of course face competition for his signature. But hopefully Mancienne will feel at home at Molineux and will finally become a true Wolf!

Argh! Just when i started to like Michael,we up and sell him,Hopefully theres a clause in his contract so we can get him back someday if he turns out to be the real deal.

Clearly the club have deemed him...not good enough for Chelsea Football Club! Good luck to him though!
TOPDROG11
If you lot want him so bad, then cough up 20 million and you can have him *wink* :P .. I think this is just paper talk though - not going to happen..
SLampard
He could well be at Euro 2012 if England wise up.

I hope this isn't true. He's a good player, might become one of the best. He's Chelsea through and through, so I hope the board do the right thing and keep him here!
JT_daniel
Its strange. he's had a whole year's experience at a PL side under a decent manager and with a team that have battled hard to stay up. You don't get much better experience than that. He's definitely more ready than Bruma so why not have him as third choice CB after JT and Alex (supposing Riccy goes)
LifeLongBlue
any news of the suggested fee?
merlin
I've heard £4million but not sure how accurate that is.
Akela
I would like Chelsea to utilise Mancienne in the same role as Wolves "discovered" for him, as holding midfielder. We need back-up or a real challenge for Mikel there and I think Mancienne could be it. But as central defender in Chelsea...no, I do not see that.
lindy
Maybe he doesn't want to be a 3rd choice and just wants to play regular football. Can't see him being an England Int. if he's rotting on Chelseas bench!
Nympf
Sell him to Wolves and spend the money elsewhere.

Lindy , He would be third choice in that position though as Essien is 1st Choice then Mikel !!! , Lets face it , Under a foreign manager , You will never have English kids coming through !!! , 4 million would be a great buy for Wolves , I think he has a few rough edges to Smooth , But i think hes better than Henry !!
ODDJOB79
As a Wolves fan, I'm with Lindy--I don't really see someone as lightly built as Mancienne as a central defender. The player has very good elevation and genuine speed, something Wolves could do with in central midfield or defence; but, as he is without an established position, I would not like to see Wolves pay more than £4m.

I dont think his build has anything to do with it , I've seen him out muscle some of the Big lads in the Prem , Its not his Size its the fact he is too energetic to be a Centre Half , He doesn't know how to hold his position and sometimes let the forward turn , Holding midfield i think he would be 10 x better than henry , Henry has served us well but he cant be the answer , I think Mancienne Would be Ideal for the likes of either Milijas or Jones or Ardlene do go do there thing going forward
