Keogh set for Doncaster loan move?

Keogh could be set for a loan stint at Doncaster Rovers.

Keogh along with Greg Halford, Matt Hill and Stefan Maierhofer are all expected to leave Molineux.

With the new rules regarding a 25 man squad, McCarthy is being forced into whittling down his squad size.

Those who do not make the squad will be forced to leave if they want to play competitive football between August and January!

"I can see a real scrum developing because I`m going to have to say to some of them 'listen, there`s two weeks to go and you`re not going to be in my squad.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

He added: "I will be totally fair to them. I won`t leave it until the last knock-ins. I`ll tell them their futures will be sorted out a lot sooner than that.

"Don`t get me wrong, I love all the lads and I`ve got respect for them all. But the last thing I want is anyone left here from the end of August until January who can`t play.'

According to the BBC Doncaster Rovers have made an inquiry regarding Andy Keogh's availability.

The Championship club hope to bag him on a loan deal.

'You talk to a lot of clubs about players without making a concrete offer and we have done that with Andy Keogh.' Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll told Radio Sheffield.

He added: 'I think if Mick McCarthy would let him go out on loan then he will come here. If he does come here then it would be a brilliant addition to the squad.'

Teaming up with Billy Sharp again , I think if we sell him it will be about 1.5 million , but more than likely 2-3 month loan and possibly leading to a season loan , I like the lad for effort but he doesn't bring anything more so why not cash in ??
