Take Off Your Cap For Harry Redknapp

Harry Redknapp has launched a tremendous attack on the powers that be for scheduling international friendlies three days before the start of the season.

Although it was obviously too late to cancel, England will play Hungary in a pointless friendly, weeks after the end of the world cup.

Most managers will not see their players in the week leading up to their opening games and heaven knows how one can plan when the possibility of injuries is taken into account.

I don't care if I get criticized for this, but the day I found out they were not going to fire our national coach I announced a personal boycott of our next six internationals.

No manager in any other industry would still have a job after that performance, and if the F.A are avoiding £6 million pay outs they should stop paying these people stupid money and give the job to someone who wants it.

I bet Harry would take it for nothing (except petrol money). He spoke after the World Cup for the need for an English manager. In all reality, we are one of a very few nations that do not (have a coach of their own), and have not for many years now used an Englishman. We have tried it and it simply has not worked.

Wolves always have and always will be my bread and butter. Home is where the heart is and whilst I do love my country, I stand by my boycott.

The World Cup was as painful as anything I have seen in my time and how the man still has a job is beyond me. He would be better off naming the Under 21's and letting Pearce dictate the tactics.

August 14th please.

Harry is right... ridiculous time for a friendly. Just be glad no Wolves players are in the England team, and I'm glad no Toffees are in it either!

Well said wolf, although 'Arry has been spouting off a lot lately, on this point he is dead right. Crapello and his predecessor ain't worth a toss. They keep picking the same tired old plodding losers that should have been cast on the international scrap heap several failures ago.

Oh, and I refer to Erickson as the predecessor

Why would you have an international before the season starts i agree it is quite ridiculous.

I am chuffed that we are all in agreement on this one. He certainly has been sharing his two pennies worth but who is to argue with Harry? The bloke knows what he is talking about. These friendlies- Silly business. Very silly, and our game will only suffer for it.

Well the only good thing to come of this is if Capello plays all the Donkeys that played in the World Cup so the Mugs who spent all that money to go to South Africa can boo them for 90 Minutes !!!!
