Jo - Drawn Out Deal Drags On

Depending on which paper, or website you read, Joleon Lescotts proposed move to Merseyside is either hanging in the balance, or now merely a matter of haggling.

With Everton suddenly remembering Jo missed Wolves entire Premiership season due to double knee surgery, concerns are apparently being expressed over the fitness of a player who only managed a mere 93 appearances over the last 2 seasons.

Jez Moxey says the ball is now back with Everton after the player passed the clubs medical and last week twice attended Goodison Park for discussions, whilst Everton remain tight lipped regarding the future of the 5 million deal.

About the only person not showing public concern regarding the situation is 'our Jo'.

He's gone on holiday.

Its the off season, thats what footballers do. Everton could not have been that stupid not to know, they are a PL side and they don't buy players without asking very serious questions like DERR what did he do last season? 93 appearances over one season surely when he missed the whole season due to double knee surgery.

No he wont look out of place in a struggling Everton side and Wolves can spend the money on some decent young talent. It is time for Glenn to drop the approach that there is mileage in old players, one player (PI) aside.
