Fears For Stears'

Fears For Stears'

I was thrilled when we snatched Richard Stearman from Leicester for a bargain price a couple of years ago and I think Wolves fans who would dispute his quality and sheer potential would be few and far between.

Despite previously being a trusted regular, the lad hardly had a sniff of football after his admittedly ridiculous sending off against Wigan in the midst of our survival battle.

He gave a penalty away in our recent friendly (I forget which one) and I am afraid that if his league mistake was so severely punished then he may well be on his way out of the door sooner rather than later.

I rate him by far as one of our best prospects.

I would say the step up came too soon but he was voted Player of The Year & Players Player of The Year during his time with The Foxes, during which time he amassed more than a hundred appearances and has represented England on every level up until the 21's.

I hope he is not on the available list.

I would like Wolves fans to share their opinions on the fella.

Personally, I think that if he can cut he silly mistakes he has the potential to prove himself one of the best young defenders in the country. If he needs a season out on loan then so be it.

Wolves- share your thoughts.

I say, there's no room for silly mistakes anymore. I'd rather sell him and get Mancienne, honestly.

Looked like a great signing, but some moments of madness make him look like a younger Neil Collins, he's got the talent just needs to get his chance to prove himself I suppose if not I agree with Erick sell him and move on.

I have reached the stage where I am convinced he needs to move for the good of his game. Just don't think he is Premiership material and the silly mistakes don't help him at all.

I am afraid I do not agree with the above comments at all! Richard Stearman is a good player who will eventually develop into a great one and I hope and pray it will be with Wolves. I would like to see him pressing for a starting place from the bench at the start of this season. I really dont want him to be sold and then see him doing well in another team.

I'm edging onto astraltrader side with this one. I think with time he will develop into a quality Premier League player. Just give him time to iron out particular areas of his game.

No room for mistakes , Although Mancienne has more potential than Stears , He gives a lot of FOULS away !!! , Stearman can produce good cover for the Centre halfs aswell as right back !!!!
