Halford looks set to stay

Halford looks set to stay

Following the game against Hearts, BullysBestMate asked on our article comments: 'Will Halford stay now?'

He went on to add: 'He's set up a lot of goals in pre season and obviously looks up for it this season.'

Well it seems McCarthy has been reading our fan comments (well probably not, but the Express & Star have certainly asked the same question!)

And it seems the answer is yes.

"Let`s give him a bit of credit - he`s trained well in pre-season. Why would I even question that someone of his ability shouldn`t be at the club? He`s got lots to offer.' McCarthy told the E&S.

He added: "Now he`s done it for us and fair play to him - he`s had a good pre-season.

"Since he came back at the start of the summer, he has shown a desire to stay and I can`t ask for any more than that. "

So it seems Halford may well have played his way into the 25-man-squad during pre-season.

So who do you think will miss out??

First touch is poor, cannot pass the ball to save his life, cannot run with the ball, has a decent long throw, positional sense is poor, don't think he knows how to read a game. If he makes the 25 squad it will mean that we failed to get some better quality in midfield.

On last seasons performance can't disagree with ian, but all reports are he may have turned a corner and as we would not recoup the £2m we paid for him I'm prepared to give him his chance this season, trouble is first poor pass etc and the boo boys will destroy him

I remember when we all thought Jody Craddock was Awful and he turned it round to become a fans Faveourite , Give the lad a Break , Yeah he wasn't the best last season but reports suggest hes on song in pre season , No need to worry as he will not be in the starting 11 and again a long throw is not a bad thing to have on the bench ( Which i doubt he will make ) !!

I don't think Worbo is a Wolves fan so I doubt he'll be back to elaborate.

Though he had a decent run out against Bilbao on Saturday, SEB close to scoring from one of his throw-ins and some nice neat passing

For once I agree with ODD JOB - he has made great strides to get both mentally and physically fit for this season and deserves to be given a fair chance.
