'If It's Football, It's Vital'

An Exciting Day At The Polls

I think the latest poll has garnered a great deal of interest and long may it continue until doors are closed. I feared Albion would take the largest slice of the cake from possible ill will, but this is a site by the fans, for the fans, and from what I have seen so far, true fans. They certainly have made their mark on the board, with 29% or the vote thus far, with Blackpool everyone's inevitable favourite to go down (including mine). A slight slab of concern when I saw that Wolves have taken 5% of the vote, opinions always respected sir (tilts cap) but more than anything I was surprised to see that neither Sunderland or Stoke have registered to date a single vote.

Do share your thoughts on the issue.

And for those who have not yet registered, please do, it takes but a few minutes and we want to read your articles- especially on such fundamental topics.

The clock is ticking. The 14th is oh so near. These are exciting times my friends.

Blackpool, WBA and Wigan are my picks to go down.

Wigan, Blackpool definately, and I don't know why but I think Sunderland are in for a tough season. I'd like to see Albion stay up, even if it's only for the 6 points we're going to take off 'em !!

Blackpool goes without saying , Promotion a year to early for them , Should have sorted there stadium out first and more time to get more players in !!! , I have a feeling Blackburn will struggle this year as will Birmingham , That Zigic is a Donkey !! , So I'll go Blackpool , Blues and Wigan with Baggies n Blackburn just staying up ( Based on the squads they have now ) !

Blackpool are obvious choices to finish bottom (about half of last years team gone, no signings and two weeks to go????), but thereafter it gets very interesting. I think Wigan are likely relegation candidates - not improved their squad and not convinced the support is there. The third team for relegation? Take your pick - WBA (lack of signings), West Ham (signings but not convinced Grant is right choice for manager and their owners... mon dieu), Wolves (still question marks about our defence and midfield), Blackburn (a club mired in mediocrity and going nowhere, plus I am no Allardyce fan), Bolton (could be okay, could be crap, just don't know), Newcastle (probably the best shot of any of the promoted teams of staying up but if they get off to a bad start, probably will not be very pretty), Birmingham (overachieved massively last year and signings to date are not impressive - totally agree re Zigic, could be Hoff the Second). As it stands right now it should be WBA for the third spot but equally could be any of the mentioned teams unless they make some stellar signings in the next week or so.
