Mancienne future to be decided this week

Mancienne future to be decided this week

It seems that Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is in no rush to decide on the future of Michael Mancienne.

With the new season fast approaching, you would have thought in the best interests of the player that Chelsea would have made their minds up whether they want to keep him or let him go.

I'm sure Michael Mancienne would like to know and every single Wolves fan would also like to know as we all hope to see him return to Molineux for another stint.

But it seems while we have to remain patient for now, the wait is close to an end.

'Michael Mancienne is training with us now and he is here. We have to consider him as a Chelsea player. Now he is here and I don't know if for him it is better, we will take a decision maybe next week about his situation.' Carlo Ancelotti told chelseafc.com.

Over the past year or so reading the views of Vital Chelsea supporters, it is clear that Mancienne is well thought of down there.

But is he really going to be better off staying there and hardly playing, just to help them make up their quota in the new squad system?

Let him go, play first team football on a regular basis and help him push on in his England career!

Mick is still saying we need to sell before we get Mancienne in. With Keogh seen as the likely player to be sold for any realistic money is this just a ploy to help with keeping the price low? Doyle taken a knock already, if we do sell Keogh anyone else concerned the striking options are limited??

Doesn't sound like the Doyle situation is serious but it does get you thinking. If Blake comes in and Keogh is the only back up (kids aside) then that would concern. As for the Mancienne saga, I still think there is work going on behind the scenes. It sounds absurd but Chelsea have changed their tune these days and I can see them holding out for an inflated price, similar to what we are doing with Keogh, who may still be leaving? Back to Mancienne, I still think he will be with us by the weekend.

hoping you guys take him on loan for another season. i still see him being a great player when he's older. another 35 games for you lot would be perfect.

I hope one way or the other that we secure the services of Mancienne again. It will be a significant blow should we fail.

If we need to sell , I just struggle to see any player we have making the money we need to purchase Mancienne , Because wether your a Keogh lover or hater hes going knowhere now vokes is out for at least a month from what i have been told and Doyle only slightly doubtfull for the first game ( Only taken a knock on his calf , no strain/tear/pull etc ) , That leaves us with 3 fit strikers with the option of Ward as a 4th , No Wolves player that Mick would listen to offers for would make the 4/5 million Chelsea would PROBABLY accept , A year long loan is the best we could hope for , And to be honest im sick of the yes/no/maybe Mancienne situation , And im focusing on a season without him !

If a third season on loan is all we can get then I would happily take that. He's a lifelong Chelsea fan but at some point he is going to have to put his career before the badge if he wants to realize his potential. I think he has the world at his feet and remember it was only a few weeks ago that he was saying that he had enjoyed his time with Wolves and just wants to be settled at one club he can call home. I'm not sure what he is on, but it can't be fun playing second fiddle watching the big time charlie's swanning around.

Now MM is saying we won't spend £4m to buy him but will happily take him on loan, I wonder what impact that has on the player's thoughts? Probably just screwed any chance we had of doing either! Maybe £4m is on the high side but given his potential I really think MM is making a mistake here in not offering to buy.
