Vokes to return

Well that was short and not so sweet! Sam Vokes looks likely to return to Molinuex after just one game on loan at Bristol City.

Vokes suffered a hamstring injury just 13 minutes into his debut after coming on as a substitute.

'Sam needs to go and have a scan. He is still very sore and will be out for a while but we don't know how long yet,' manager Steve Coppell told Sky Sports.

He added: 'If he is going to be missing for some time then it is likely he will go back to Wolves to receive treatment. If it is not so bad then he will probably remain here.'

In fact it was a poor day all round as City lost their opening day Championship fixture to Millwall.

After the signing David James some supporters rushed down the bookies to have a bet on Bristol City as an outside chance of promotion. I wonder if they already regret that bet after just one game??

Well, as previously mentioned http://www.wolves.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=208123 (3rd comment) maybe City will now prioritize the capture of Michael Owen.
