Hahnemann takes number 1 jersey

While the goalkeeping spot has always been a good discussion point on Vital Wolves, we got a clear indication that Marcus Hahnemann is still regarded as number 1 at Molinuex.

The future might be Wayne Hennessey, especially now he has signed a new five-year-deal, but Hahnemann is definitely the here-and-now.

Hahnemann was our number 1 in all but number last season, but this year, that has changed.

"Marcus left us as the No.1 at the end of last season and he`s come back as the No.1," said McCarthy to the Express & Star.

He added: "It`s up to Wayne Hennessey and Carl Ikeme to change my mind and change the dynamic - because that`s what Marcus did.'

Wayne Hennessey takes number 13, Carl Ikeme number 30.

Other numbers of note, new signing Jelle Van Damme takes the number 2. Stephen Hunt number 12, Steven Mouyokolo the number 22 (that's a while lot of number 2's) with Steven Fletcher taking the number 10 (Andy Keogh takes 19).

Hahnemann deserves the #1 shirt - right now he is the best keeper we have.
