Wolves get better every day

12 months ago, the majority of Wolves fans while excited about the new season in the Premier League, would have also feared for the future.

Vital Wolves would have to be included in that, we confess, we feared the worst following a lack of experienced signings.

We spent money and brought in a number of new faces, but we lacked experience and that is something our Mick referred too in his opening team talk last week.

"I said to them before the start of Saturday`s game that at the beginning of last season I looked around the dressing room and saw Jody Craddock who`d had Premier League experience, David Jones with a handful of games, Marcus (Hahnemann) with a couple of seasons and Kevin Doyle similar. And that was it. We tried but we just couldn`t get experienced players to come.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

Fastforward 12 months and Wolves now have a full season of experience in the Premier League and an opening day win over Stoke. Mick added: "We`ve now got 15 who came up with us through the Championship all with Premier League experience.

"All of them have managed to get that experience by playing in the team rather than us signing them and that`s brilliant.

"You can see the difference on a daily basis — they`ve just got better and better.

Karl Henry & Matt Jarvis for me are very well at home in the Premiership !!! , Ward gets a lot of undeserved stick too , Hes maturing every year , Not many Strikers can revert from Striker to Left Back so Quickly , But Berra has been the stand out for me so far !!!!
