'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wolves Boss Warns of Nightmare

Mick McCarthy has done the honorable thing and tilted his cap in respect to Paul Sturrock ahead of tonights League Cup clash at Molineux.

Mick told the Expreses & Star 'Carling Cup ties are notoriously difficult' and added that 'Their manager Paul Sturrock gets the best out of his teams and no doubt coming here he will want to beat a Premier League team.'

The omens suggest we may sneak and my gut feeling is that will be plunder four of five night- the perfect tonic with regards maintaining our momentum and put us in the mood for goals which I think we are going to need in a very open game against Newcastle on Saturday.

I tire of hearing how there are 'no easy games in football'. If there aren't then this is as lop sided as you are going to get.

There are 83 places between the sides, Southend have drawn one, and lost two of their opening three games and have only won two of their last ten games games under Sturrock.

Against a side who may be playing non league football next season I look forward to seeing goals tonight. Share your thoughts on the forum, and don't forget to hit up the poll!

Enjoy.

Good aggressive post NYC ! I too am hoping for some 'fringe' players to step up to the challeneg and show that they are not just making up the numbers. Gedioura is supposedly going to start and he is MENACING ! No excuses for failure at this hurdle, nothing less than a strong win for Wolves is demanded !! WE ARE WOLVES !!

Have to agree although if we end up with a strike force of Keogh and an untried Winnal then who knows!

I think we'll save our 'fringe' players for Old Trafford,Stamford Bridge and the Emirates.
