Mancienne - To be or not to be???

As of writing this article there is about a week left on the transfer deadline, with Championship sides maybe coming in for some of our fringe players.

I'm wondering if its just a case of getting the wage bill down more than the fee for Mancienne?

If we offload some players I think we will move for him or someone else?

Chelsea playing hard-ball will soften this week and maybe at the very least another loan deal will be in the offing?

I think that is all that we need until January.

But what do you think??

According to the Sun and the Mail we have offered 3 million and they want 5 million,I think by the week-end a compromise might be reached especially If we can offload some fringe players. All the time hes on loan he is improving and earning Chelsea more money,I think we should buy him or at the very least have an agreement to buy him for a fixed fee in January.

They've changed the article completely now saying that he is believed to be joining us on loan, rather than definitely. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/mancienne-poised-for-wolves-return-2061488.html but i'd prefer to see him signed at some point.

Hopefully we will see some movement on this today, to get him in the squad for training ahead of Newcastle on Saturday.

I've just read in the Birmingham Metro this morning (not a particularly reliable source for footy news) that Newcastle have pipped us to the post by signing Mancienne on a season long loan. Surely if there was a deal to be done he'd choose us over the Gordies???????? Anyway, nothing doing on Express&Star or Sky Sports about it yet. - UTW
BIG TASTY

Good news. Mancienne will have an important part to play in securing our premiership survival this season.
