Ikeme goes to Leicester on loan

Carl Ikeme will join Championship side Leicester this month on a 28-day-loan.

The Wolves goalkeeper has made the short term move due to Leicester keeper Chris Weale being out injured.

Paulo Sousa is the new man in the hot seat at Leicester and Sousa knows Ikeme well after the two worked together last season at QPR.

'Carl is joining us for 28 days and we will see in the future what can happen.' Sousa told the Express & Star.

"He`s a player who will help us and he`s an excellent keeper.

"I think this is a huge opportunity for his future and I hope he takes it."

Vital Wolves Comment: Haven't done one of these for a while, but just wanted to add that I think this is a good move all round.

With Marcus Hahnemann number 1 and Wayne Hennessey acting as back up, it will be good for Ikeme to stay sharp and play some proper football.

A good move. Short and sweet like a midget eating a bag of bon bons.

With Matt Murray no longer with us and part of the 25 does this mean Carl will be returning?
