Striker On The Way to Wolves?

Striker On The Way to Wolves?

With the departure of Andy Keogh to Cardiff this week speculation is growing that we may bring in another striker!

Bearing in mind that an offer was made to purchase Mancienne from Chelsea, then funds must still be available as he was (as we all know) bought in on a season long loan again.

Also it was known that Andy Keogh was promised a place in the squad of 25, so does that mean that a space is still available?

Maybe a goalscorer from the lower leagues is on the way? Or perhaps as rumours suggest, Emile Heskey from Aston Villa?

What are your thoughts on this subject??

I second that Akela, I think someone from the lower leagues would be better. Or maybe a fringe striker from a big team?

I admire Heskeys Work rate and hold up play but he does suffer in confidence infront of goal , I agree a player from the lower leagues to be back up , McCarthy will not look past the 3 strikers we have for a starting place ! Le Fondre from Rotheram maybe , He bangs goals in year in year out !!

First comment says it all. Awful. I wouldn't play him for my Sunday pub team. Vokes should be ready in about a month (?) but Mick did not think he was up to it so I'm not really sure he is going to look at the lower leagues because that's a lot of pressure on what we would expect to be young shoulders- who knows, maybe he will surprise us though. I think our kids will be kept for the cup matches so everything points to a 4th HAVING to be brought in. If we know it, Mick certainly knows it so I am not worrying too much. I am thinking a fringe striker from the Premiership on loan is most likely, but as a side thought, maybe one of our recent foreign buys could throw a few names forward..........

If you were looking at Heskey why let Keogh go out on loan? Both hard workers, both unlikely to score many goals but both likely to contribute assists. No thanks!

Hesky is 10 times the player Keogh is , Anyone who thinks otherwise is talking out of there rear end , Ask Rooney or Owen how much they liked playing alongside the big man , Hes not a goalscorer , But what he does besides not scoring is why hes admired in my eyes , never stops , hold up play is out of this world and knocks defenders all over the shop , Andy Keogh runs down a blind alley and loses the ball , And thats one of his strong points !!!
