Wolves Star Kevin Doyle Shines Bright

Wolves star Kevin Doyle is showing signs that he is returning to his best after helping Ireland to maximum points from their two qualifying games with outstanding performances in both.

Doyle outshone skipper Robbie Keane in the 1-0 win in Armenia, and although the always beloved former striker stuck his 44th goal in 102 games for his country, Doyle again took the limelight with a tremendous performance marked by a stunning goal in the 3-1 home win over Andorra.

It all points to great news for Wolves who will welcome the player back firing on all cylinders ahead of our tricky trip to Craven Cottage at the weekend.

Doyle appears to have gotten over his niggling injuries and has been described by The Guardian as the countries 'most important striker.'

Those three comments have cheered up my morning Ad. I think either of those formations would see us secure a win :) Good comment first up - Haven't heard that old chestnut in a few years; although I do have to lean towards keeping Blake in- for two reasons. Firstly, we have made a very good start with 4-4-2, we haven't conceded more than one goal in a game yet, have not had problems finding the net, and remain unbeaten. Secondly, I think dropping Blake and making him drive the bus (I'll get you for this Butler!!!!) would be terrible business for moral. Although he has not been truly outstanding and lit games on fire he has done to business and put the ball in the net. Those who claim his goal at Everton was a "tap in" should acknowledge it took an outstanding challenge, and two great passes to find the ball to Blake who for the first time in the game had found himself the spare yard behind a rigid defense. If we are edging it on the hour by all means I think we can switch to 4-5-1 and hold it down. I still think a draw will be a good point and I am going for another 1-1.
