'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A disgrace to the Premier League?

Wolves have been branded a disgrace to the Premier League by some media types.

Something that as a proud Wolves fan has really insulted me!

The last time I checked, football was still a contact sport? So why all the grief?

Derby games are embraced with open arms due to their blood and thunder style match ups and when one passes without incident, people moan and blame foreign imports for the loss of understanding of what that fixture brings.

The modern day Premier League players are often accused of not caring, happy to take their pay without an ounce of passion for the game.

Well that cannot be aimed at our lads. Instead the media claim we're a disgrace? A disgrace for what? Playing the game hard? With dedicated players?

Yes we've picked up a few cards in recent matches, but so what. It's points that matter and we're doing OK as of late.

Call me paranoid, but the press don't like us much do they? Last season we were a disgrace for our team selection against Manchester United and then a poor team for our lack of goals, now we're a disgrace for our physicality. It seems some are upset at our current Premier League status and if that's the case, long may the insults continue.

As i have said before i have a massive soft spot for wolves so i do have very slightly wolves tinted specs on but YOU ARE NOT A DISGRACE to the PL if they really look at it they should be accusing stoke or any of big sams teams of this. i dont remember last season when you turned us over twice ever thinking they just kicked us up in the air where as everytime we play stoke that is what happens. chin up guys hope you have another cracking season

Ahhh its part of the game now people need to realise that...After watching probably every team play at least once i think that wolves have been the most physical espeically karl henry but if thats how you get results then so be it...Unless you dont severly injure a player then i cant see much wrong with it.

If you arent Man U or Chelsea you wont get on telly, you wont get news coverage, match highlights and ... basically if your team name doesnt appear in the top 4 you are ungodlike and thus *****.. f ** the lot of them.

Easy Ad! I've enjoyed the attention it has brought because the media (& Karl Henry) might knock a bit of sense back into the game! Most sides will go out expecting a very physical game, so hopefully we will be able to start seeing some classics like back in the old days when blood and thunder tackles were EXPECTED & DEMANDED by fans and players alike. If teams meet up with us expecting tough tackling we shall see some in return and no doubt it will make for a better game of it. Thanks to Mr. Yid and P.AVfc for popping onto the page to offer your support and talk some sense into the issue.
New York City Wolf
This is simply the result of a five minute clip on match of the day.Allright we are all slightly partial in our views for our teams but I really honestly cant see any difference in our play from now to late last season. All we need is for Messers Hanson,Shearer etc to pick on someone else this week and it will all be forgotten.Maybe its the Baggies turn next...!!!!.

I found the segment rather amusing. They were not even having a go at Wolves, but rather taking the Mick out of a player that is more disliked more than we will ever be.
New York City Wolf
Well Newcastle Bullied Villa and we know the result , We bullied Newcastle and got a number of bookings , No one noticed Andy Carolls fore arm smash on craddock which was a disgrace , All the bookings against fulham were for oulls or blocks mainly , Thats not dirty play just bloody stupid play , I feel for Bobby Zamora as hes a player i admire , But if you ask him would he want his midfielders to make tackles like that if Kevin Doyle was breaking forward i think you would find he would say YES everytime and as every football person knows it was good hard tackle , As for Dempsey saying you went in to do him , Yeah and your an Angel yourself aint you Clint !!!!! I just hope he saw the replay and sent Henry an apology !
