Wolves have been branded a disgrace to the Premier League by some media types.
Something that as a proud Wolves fan has really insulted me!
The last time I checked, football was still a contact sport? So why all the grief?
Derby games are embraced with open arms due to their blood and thunder style match ups and when one passes without incident, people moan and blame foreign imports for the loss of understanding of what that fixture brings.
The modern day Premier League players are often accused of not caring, happy to take their pay without an ounce of passion for the game.
Well that cannot be aimed at our lads. Instead the media claim we're a disgrace? A disgrace for what? Playing the game hard? With dedicated players?
Yes we've picked up a few cards in recent matches, but so what. It's points that matter and we're doing OK as of late.
Call me paranoid, but the press don't like us much do they? Last season we were a disgrace for our team selection against Manchester United and then a poor team for our lack of goals, now we're a disgrace for our physicality. It seems some are upset at our current Premier League status and if that's the case, long may the insults continue.
