Spurs will want revenge

Spurs will want revenge

Tottenham will be out for revenge this season according to gaffer Mick McCarthy.

While the rest of the media continue to peddle the disgrace to the Premier League tag, Tottenham will want to put us in our place for a different reason.

"I think they will be waiting for us this year having beaten them twice and taken six points off them," McCarthy told the Express & Star.

Yes that's right, this dirty team that apparently only collects cards, also collects points and last season we took 6 against a side that finished in the top 4.

But of course that doesn't suite the current media backlash firmly aimed at Molineux.

Mick continued: 'we know it`s going to be a good tough game at Spurs.'

Tough Mick? Obviously as we're Wolves that means a dirty game right?

"I don`t mean tough as in physically tough - because we`re a capable football team. But they wouldn`t have treated us lightly last season, and, having been beaten by us down there, they didn`t treat us lightly when we played them at our place.

"They will treat us with all the respect they treat everyone else with."

Nice to know someone still respects us.

I'll be happy with a point, but I fear lightning does'nt strike twice in the same place.Spurs will be ready this season. If I'm wrong I'll be the first to congratulate the team on these pages at vitalwolves!.

I like that Crete Wolf, but if Lightning struck twice then random theory suggests it can strike a third! My heart says another 1-0 but my head says we will do very well to come away from this one with a point, which I think we can get through a combination of our strengths and the fact they had a proper toughie during the week in Europe.

We seem to have found a knack of getting a goal up, even against the run of play. If we do, I hope MM has chosen the right driver of the bus to park in front of our goal. I would rather it weren't Stearman, who (to pursue the analogy) will bump into traffic coming the other way, or Mancienne, who will get shunted aside.

If we do manage to go 1-0 up hope he does'nt revert to the "3 striker away from home system"aka lets pull a defender off and put Fletcher on"syndrome.
