Milijaš set new training program

Nenad Milijaš has started a new training program which hopes to bring him back to top fitness.

Serbian International Milijaš only featured for an hour against Ghana during the 2010 World Cup, but missed some of pre season due to a holiday.

The stop-start fashion of the last few months has been a set back and now the playmaker has been given a new schedule to get him back up to speed.

'He needs two or three weeks of intense training to get up to that match level.' McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

Mick continued: 'When he's at that level he's got his chance to play again because he's a terrific footballer.'

Milijaš as yet has failed to live up to expectations since coming to Molineux.

Personally much like Sylvain Ebanks-Blake, I backed him last season to make an impact and was very wrong!

But perhaps, again like Ebanks-Blake, perhaps a second season in the Premier League will prove to be his time?

I've always felt that the extra bit of quality Milijaš has on the ball could be something special for Wolves. He just needs to work on other aspects of his game as we cannot afford to carry him.

C'mon Nenad get it together... with your free kicks, Gediouras Pile Drivers, and Jarvo and Doyles Quality up front we're an attacking force to be reckoned with ... WE ARE WOLVES !!!!

Commented up at Everton during the prematch warm up how disinterested he looked trailing along at the back of the group. Hope he turns it around and gets that left foot back on the ball!!

Milijas has so much quality BUT he will never realise it in the Premiership if he cannot get fit enough to take the pace. I hope he can improve his cardio to the point where he can stay in the game for 90 minutes as he struggles to manage 60 mins from what I've seen. When he was subbed in the World Cup he looked like he could hardly make it to the bench! Come on Nenad, we want to see you become a Wolves hero!

I think he has the potential to become one of the most creative players in the Premiership but, despite his flashes of excellence- his vision and pin point passes, he has always looked a step off the pace since day one. Really is a true shame, but the club are taking a sensible and patient approach to this one thankfully because in the past, when certain players are out of the side and they are not usually mentioned until they are packing their bags and heading out the door. I have faith in this player. It is difficult to validate quality from short highlights, but I encourage everyone to go back to You Tube and watch the goals he has scored over the years.

They had him training with Kites and he could'nt keep up!Alas I think another one to write off or possibly loan him out to a top championship side and let him get some games under his belt.

A good idea, but why has it taken over a season. He has not been up to the pace since day one. Would be good if he could give up the fags wouldn't it. Come on Nenad, make a go of it
