Damme I'm homesick

Jelle Van Damme is finding it hard to settle into life in England.

Van Damme joined Wolves in June for a fee of around £2.5million from Anderlecht.

But reports suggest that he is struggling with home sickness with some suggestions he could quit Molineux.

'Jelle is just having a tough time settling in, that's all, away from the club,' said Mick McCarthy to Wolves Official Website.

Injuries have forced him to have a stop start season so far. He has featured in 4 Premier League games but has not completed 90 minutes in any of those fixtures.

Mick continued: 'He has had a few injuries and his wife is back home in Belgium having a baby - she won't be back until January.

'Is it that unusual that someone would find that a bit unsettling when all those things are going on?'

Vital Wolves Comment: Anderlecht are reportedly monitoring developments. But I think once again the media are spinning an anti Wolves line with this one.

Was a little unsure in pre season at LB he was beaten too easily for me, did better in midfield but hopefully once he's regained his fitness and he gets a run in the team he can show why MM bought him in for the LB position. Hope the story has been blown out of proportion by the media and he sticks with it.
