'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Too early for a six pointer?

The lunchtime kick off tomorrow, is probably the earliest six pointer of the season, when Wolves face Wigan.

Both sides might harbour hopes of pushing on to mid table in the Premier League this season, but the first and only aim is to avoid relegation.

Especially considering we are without a win in five and have lost three games on the spin.

"Having had three games without anything, we need to get some points at Wigan and against West Ham at home.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

To avoid the drop at the end of the season, we have to take points from the teams of similar standing to us and Wigan are one of those sides.

Mick continued: "There`s enough on the game anyway having lost three on the bounce, but Wigan and West Ham are teams we need to get results against.

"They are in the mix with us and in the same pot of teams wanting to take points off each other."

It's on the Wolves website but incase you missed it, if you are travelling up tomorrow there are roadworks off J25 on the A49 which are creating long delays and Wigan are advising to come off at J26 instead, see you there!

Let see how you defend the filth in karl henry, you dish it out but when you take it back like we gave it last week you cry about it. shame.

Another appaling tackle by Henry. Give him a lengthy ban

As I write this we are 2-0 down with 5 min to go.Make no mistake we are now already in a dogfight. Why we keep playing people out of position I dont know,Fletcher was like a lost soul out wide and gave the ball away many times,I dont blame him but lets play him up front along side Doyle if we are going to play 2 up front. We desperately need a attacking midfielder and the one we missed out on last year James McCarthy looks the type of player we need.If we win the next home game its still going to be a hard month afterwards. No complaints about Henrys sending off and to be honest I think we would still have struggled if he had stayed on.A poor game, two poor teams and dare I say it, a hard relegation fight again, similar to last year and maybe going down to the wire, looks on the cards.Mr Morgan will be calling a halt to the "bricklaying" at this rate.We need a good performance and soon, otherwise confidence will start to go.As ever up the Wolves and I'm going for a few beers !!!.

I'm pleased to see no one defending Karl Henry. People need to wake up and see what a ruthless thug he is. From the potentially very dangerous tackle on Rosicky last season to the Zamora, Barton and now gomez incidents this one, he's proved he's a reckless two-faced arse, and a very dangerous one at that. Kudos to the Wolves fans that do accept this.

a fair assesment crete wolf, but i dont agree with 2 poor teams.i still think wigan are a good team who are improving with each game.

Crete, totally agree regarding players out of position, Fletcher is a striker and needs to have service into the box for him to be effective, midfield is not existant, and too many balls are being pumped down the channels for Doyle to chase in a hope he can create something. It's going to be a long hard season and the sooner Hunt is fit and him and Jarvis can create some service for the strikers the better. As for Karl Henry - it was hardly a captains performance and if he had anything about him he should resign the captaincy, at best a foolish tackle which ultimately cost us the game. Losing to West Ham now is unthinkable.
