Damme he's off

Last week Jelle van Damme revealed he was home sick, now the 26-year-old former Anderlecht defender has stated he wants to return to his former club.

"The Wolves coach asked me - if you had the chance to return to Anderlecht, would you do it? I have answered, yes.' Jelle van Damme told the Express & Star.

To say I'm not very impressed with van Damme is an understatement and not just because of the loss of some potentially funny headline puns.

Has he really given the move a chance? I fully understand the difficulties in being apart from his pregnant wife, but he knew that situation when he agreed the move and she will not be pregnant forever!

We spent £2.5million on him in good faith, will we see a return on that fee?

We bought him as a left back but the friendlies showed up his lack of pace in that position. He is probably unhappy playing in midfield (did anyone warn him about the Wolves square peg system?), where he has shown some form. However, with Hunt available he will be sitting on the bench. If we get the money back from Anderlecht, we unload an unhappy and uncommitted player and obtain money to put towards a real left back. It's a top priority. Now, where do we find a quality left back in Britain for £2,000,000?

Southbank.. its simple we switch to a 352 Mccarthy hasnt a bloody clue about sourcing defenders... but we have a wealth of talent in midfield...

Good point, Ad Mant. So, name your team (if everyone were available), if operating a 3-5-2 system.

alright how bout this as a flyer Fletcher Doyle Hunt - Milijas - Jarvis Henry - Foley/Van Damme Moyoukolo - Craddock - Zubar Hahnemann OK, that defence is a little inexperienced, but having witnessed what we have thus far, the back 4 especially Ward and Berra isnt working at all.. and I think the defensive qualities of Henry and Foley playing just in front not to mention Jarivs and Hunt running for everything along the wings might give them that extra cover.

3 5 2 eh moyo, craddock and and Mancienne at the back zubes and >???? Van Damme as sort of fullbacks come wingers, henry, Milijas and Jarvo in midfield and Doyle and SEB up front...is that enough squareish pegs and roundish holes for Mick I wonder. Where do we put Hunt etc.... In goal maybe
