Wait nearly over for Hunt

Steven Hunt hasn't played a game of football since February, but the wait is nearly over.

Obviously we all knew in June when we signed him from Hull that we would have to wait to see him in a Wolves shirt.

The specialist predicted October, but while Hunt tried everything to return to action sooner, it was always going to be in vein.

'The surgeon was pretty much spot on with his prediction of how long I was going to be out for. No matter how you try to speed things up, it was obviously going to heal in its own time.' Hunt told Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'It's been frustrating because you want to be involved but I knew that I couldn't be and in a strange way, because of that, it still feels like I'm a Hull player as I haven't been on the pitch yet for Wolves.

'But once I've got two or three games under my belt I know I'll begin to feel a bit more settled and will be able to get used to the surroundings at Molineux.'

Vital Wolves Comment: It's certainly been a long time coming, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Hunt become a Wolves player!

From the first rumour of our interest to him stepping on the pitch is virtually a whole 12 months!

Huge expectation for Hunt's first start for us, just hope he's given time to find his fitness and form and him an Jarvo provide the quality Doyle/Fletcher/SEB need to get us out of a relegation fight.

So who's gonna replace van Damme...? Pity Mick doesnt have a cloning device so we could play Ward twice

i agree about the expectation. i cant wait for him to get fit and playin well. will make a huge difference to the team.. will give us balance.. I think Elokobi is better than ward by a long way. attacking wise.. hunt, milijas, jones, jarvis, doyle & fletcher looks v good to me.. its just a pity zubar is injured and van damme isnt up 2 the prem lge!!

"Steven Hunt hasn't played a game of football since February,"neither has half the Wolves team!.West Ham is a massive game,we need 3 points and a win.Not a draw and excuses and cetainly not a defeat. The next month are the "Big"fixtures for us and where, realistically we wont expect any points so we must win this week-end.

Hunt and Jarvo down the flanks will worry most prem defences. No we just need to fix Gued's leg, Zubar's ankle Jelles head, Henry's sanity and Micks team selection and we may have a chance.
