Hunt on the road to recovery

Stephen Hunt played the first half of our reserves match last night, the first action the new Wolves man has had since February.

Wolves went on to lose the fixture to Wigan 2-1 with a last minute winner, but the big story was the return of Hunt and our first glimpses of him in Wolves colours.

It's not often you sign a player knowing he will be injured for another four months, but Mick McCarthy has wanted Stephen Hunt for a very long time and the wait is now finally over.

Vital Wolves Comment: There will be a lot of pressure on his shoulders to have an instant impact.

I can fully understand that as we're all excited to finally get him on the pitch, but I just hope we don't rush him now we do have him back as he's been out of a long time.

great to have hunt nearing a start but the midfield is not our biggest concern. this is: ward / craddock / berra / foley why does mick persist with this line up which is shipping goals for fun, ward and berra in particular are not up to this level and should not start... we have players like Moyokolo, Van Damme, Mancienne and even Elokobi who would do much better jobs at the back. Sadly, they are not mickys favourites. They will not start. 2-2 at the weekend. we are incapable of a clean sheet. Tick, Tock, Mick.

I agree with you entirely, Ad Mant, and have said so many times. If it is clear to non-professionals like us (well, at least, me) why isn't obvious to the people in charge?

Did you ever have a favourite toy you always played with, it might not have been the newest or most functional, or had an arm missing or the batteries were dead... or couldnt defend for *****... but it was your favourite and you would play with it all day long...
