Turning point for Wolves

Last season our turning point came against West Ham United.

"We beat them at their place last season which was a turning point really.' Marcus Hahnemann told the Express & Star.

The three points from that game was used as a catalyst for the end of season form that kept us in the Premier League.

Hahnemann continued: "We were both in a similar spot in the table and the win we got there helped us make that little break.'

The American shot stopper believes that this game could prove just as important, despite it only being October: "Everything is on the cards for the same situation on Saturday and hopefully we can do the same again.

"If we could get the win we`d be on eight points which would be a point a game.

"Everyone would start to forget some of the results, whereas of course it would be different if we lose."

While it is only October, Hahnemann does have a point in regards too how pivotal the result against West Ham could prove for moral.

In the wider picture of course it is no where near that stage where a win is vital, but for moral, the difference between an average point per game haul and five defeats on the spin is massive.

keep telling yourself that akela... lose tomorrow, and with a very good chance of getting nothing from the following 4 games we could be 6 or 7, even more points adrift at the foot of the table. Not one single fan, even of the blinkered persuasion can fathom why Mick refuses to blood our more talented expensive recruits at the back... and as ludicrous as it seems, the more and more he continues down this path to distruction (and relegation) the more im starting to believe the conspiracy theorists that he WANTS to get fired. For those 4 or 5 Wolves fans who still think Ward is a defender, or Berra, Stears et al are premiership players... take a long hard look at them on Saturday... as they no doubt will play, and no doubt will suck.

Disagree Akela, a win tomorrow is vital, no questions. Yes it is still early in the season but a defeat tomorrow, the crowd reaction and going into a sequence of fixtures in which we are unlilely to pick up many points will leave us rooted firmly to the foot of the table. A win, a bit of positivity and who knows. Ad Mant - Been taking a long hard look at Berra / Ward all year and totally agree - need fresh blood at the back and for them to realise they have to perform to earn a place in the starting 11.
