Good luck to Halford at Pompey

Good luck to Halford at Pompey

Vital Wolves would like to wish Greg Halford luck as he has joined Portsmouth on loan.

The versatile 25-year-old came to Molineux a little over a year ago and has made 17 appearances for Wolves during that time, but only 2 of those have come this season, both in the Carling Cup.

'He was out of my plans in the summer but he did well and got himself my squad of 25.' McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

Mick continued: 'He came back with the intention of doing it and got into the 25 but is out of the team and he needs to play some games.

'This is a good opportunity for him.'

Halford made his debut for Portsmouth last night in their 1-0 away win over Millwall.

Halford played the full 90 minutes for Portsmouth where his current loan deal lasts for a month.

He had a decent game for us last night and has one hell of a throw on him. I think he'll be very useful for us, especially if we can get him on a season long loan.

he was always a player I had high hoped for early in his career, but he has never quite kicked on.

Maybe this is his chance to move up the ladder. Never really cracked it since leaving Colchester.
