Jarvis for England? Why not!

Jarvis for England? Why not!

From Vital England:

Matt Jarvis is a name that has been mentioned in connection with an England call-up recently.

The Wolves man is again being backed for this by his manager Mick McCarthy following his performances against Man United in the league cup on Tuesday night.

In all honesty, as I rarely watch any football apart from that in which I am at attendance these days, I have not really seen much of Jarvis so could not say how good I thought the 24-year-old was.

That was before Tuesday night...

I watched that game with a friend of mine and was impressed by the guy, very impressed in fact.

The Wolves fans chanting 'Jarvis for England' was, as McCarthy said, not far from the truth I would say as the guy looked fantastic at times with pace, skill and an ability to beat players, sometimes with ease. Not to mention the delivery of a final ball, something that many of the wingers in the England mix at the moment have trouble with!

Matt Jarvis for England?

Well, if he performs regularly for Wolves like he did at Old Trafford then this will surely come, and 'possible' against France in next months friendly...

I was speaking to my wolves friends about this last night and we was all in agreement that jarvis is a very good player but there are several other wingers who are equally as good or better who arn't getting there chance in the team aswell such as ethertington, downing, albrighton, young, SWP and the young lad at sunderland henderson i think so that is the dilemma as you can argue they all deserve it as much as jarvis. I would give the likes of jarvis a go in a friendly and the same with etherington, albrighton and downing and see what they can do. Jarvis was fantastic against utd but yet again so was etherington in the league :/
