Contract Offer For Sparky

Wolves have formally made a new contract offer to former Irish International winger Mark Kennedy.

Talking to the clubs website CEO Jez Moxey said :

'A new offer has been made to Mark Kennedy.

'He is currently considering his options but he wants to get his future resolved. Hopefully that might be done over the next fortnight.'

Mark came in for more than his fair share of stick last season during the clubs failed promotion campaign, and as it drew to a close went on record as saying he doubted the offer of a new deal would be made.

But now it now seems that he is an integral part of Glenn Hoddle's future plans and it's now down to the man signed for £2 million from Manchester City to make a decision on his Wanderers future.

Like him or not, there is rarely any middle ground of opinion regarding Mark Kennedy. Still seen as one of the most talented left boots outside the Premiership, Sparky showed, albeit in patches, towards the end of last season that there is still life in the old warrior yet.

Wether he chooses to put that on display at Molineux again in Old Gold and Black remains to be seen.

Currently considering options, suggests to me that he is hoping for something better.

He is 30 years old and he had a good run of games last season and really wasn't impressive. Sign the contract so we can sell you in January. We still have a large squad and some skeletons still hiding in it so if he choses to go no real loss other than the potential cash in six months time.
