Wolves close the gap

The win over Manchester City might not have lifted us out of the bottom three, but it has certainly boosted the confidence of shot stopper Marcus Hahnemann.

"It closes the gap on everybody. We are just three points from eighth place now, so that shows how tight it is.' Marcus Hahnemann told the Express & Star.

He continued: "If we keep playing the way we are, we will find ourselves in the top half of the table soon.

Vital Wolves Comment: Amazing what one win can do for confidence. Yes it came against Manchester City, but it's still only one win.

Our first since Stoke in August. Since then we'd lost five out of eight fixtures.

I know the performances have been better than the results at times but lets not get too ahead of ourselves just yet as all that will do is add further pressure on ourselves.
