Mick on the Hunt at Old Trafford

Mick McCarthy is set to unleash Stephen Hunt on Manchester United.

We've had to be patient since signing the 29-year-old for around £3million from Hull during the summer.

An injury for the Republic of Ireland winger has kept him out until recently, but now Mick believes it's time for him to kick on.

"I think he`ll be fine on Saturday and he`ll be flying at Old Trafford.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

He continued: "He`s had two-and-a-half games and he`s a fit guy. We gave them a couple of days off but everyone was back in today and Hunt has benefited from that.

"We nursed him back and made sure he was right and he`ll get the benefit from that."

Vital Wolves Comment: I think Hunt will get better and better over the next couple of months, very pleased we didn't rush him back and risk a set back.
