Mancienne to return to Chelsea?

Michael Mancienne could be set to return to Chelsea in January.

With John Terry and Alex long term absentees for the Premier League champions, a clause in Mancienne's season-long loan could see him return to Stamford Bridge.

"Mance has been great, but we took him knowing that there`s a break in the transfer window when they can take him back," McCarthy said to the Express & Star.

He continued: "They could leave it until the last day of his loan, then take him back after Christmas going into the January window."

Shame. We have reaped the benefit of having him around but it looks like the injury situation and the end of the spend may well see him go back in January but I had practically given up hope of us getting him back in during the summer and once more he was back. I imagine Chelsea would have also expected him to be a regular week in week out which has not been the case. Once he is starting every week, for whoever it may be I would say he will find himself back in the England squad.

REALLY WANT HIM IN CHELSEA!!!!! We have problems with our defence, he's the best option. He could have his time to shine in Chelsea and make a new start there!

With Alex still playing on despite needing the op as you wait for news on Terry, does this mean we have more of a chance of holding on to him?

If he is Chelseas best option then they are in trouble, as even we have better players. Let him go, save money on his wages and buy either a cb or defensive midfielder, not someone who isn't great at either. Overrated player.
