We asked for your view on Mick McCarthy and here is what you told us!
From our article comments we were told:
Personally I stood by him this time last season and he pulled it around and I have no reason to doubt his ability to do the same this season. Akela
This can be answered pretty swiftly. Is O'Neill willing to entertain the idea joining us ? If so, Mccarthy must go. If not, well here's the beef: Yesterday's game revealed our other major shortcoming - the inability to put the ball in the back of the net. We have been so preoccupied with how catastrophically bad we are at the back that we forget that nobody has more than 2 goals to their name (maybe 3 - i cant be arsed to check) Mick has spent record amounts on Fletcher, Moyokolo, van Damme and Zubar only for the lot of them to sit on the bench. Thats quite an expensive bench. Especially by our humble standards All of this raises questions like, If he thinks - as his team selection alludes - Ward Craddock Berra and Stears are up to premiership standards why would he buy all those defenders. Why spend 7 mil on Fletcher when we dont have the squad behind to make use of him. Why persist with players who are clearly not up to this level, and why do you insist on regularly playing players out of their natural positions, a la Ward, Edwards, Mancienne... Mccarthy should take a bit of his own advice to Cappello and be man... Tell the Wolves faithful that you are aware we are up ***** creek, that he has plans to change our approach, and bring in one or two players in Jan... instead of bobbing around like a character from Klopper Castle mumbling something about good performance and bad result...week in week out Stand up and be counted Mick - our stadium plans and ability to hold on to our star players depends on us remaining in the prem. you may or may not not care about OUR future, but us fans bloody well do. Tick Tock Mick. AdMant
McCarthy has failed. It is time for him to go now. With another manager in place we have a chance of survival; with McCarthy we will definitely go down, and probably in humiliating fashion too! paraphernalia
who will manage wolves? thats the question. you all loved him when he got you up rabit71
Do we need a manager - surely a rotating dartboard with players names on is how he currently picks the squad... Any monkey can do that. I vote Monkey ! AdMant
I'll pay the taxi fare myself. OLDGOLD
Maybe Phil Brown could take over if Mick does one. He has the grit and experience of bringing out a survivor team. Just look at it this way though the league is tight this time around 3 wins in a row and your possibly comfortable mid table I d say give him a bit longer at least till February. Tucky
While from our facebook page we received:
Mick has done all he can do now we need more than just ifs buts an maybes ! no more antidotes ! No more philosophical bull ! Results an cohesion is the only answer like hollaway said when he puts a team out against man u it's because he believes he can beat them ! Nathan Singh Boughan
And from our message board:
I do not think O'Neill is the answer he played players out of position, had his favourites and didn't play players he bought! Sounds familiar! Anyway finding another poor soul is up to the owner the board and Moxey they are the ones who have to get it right.Mikey1mcl
