'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Left Back in the changing room

Well there can be little doubt that we have problems all over the football pitch, but the left back slot has been one of our most problematic for a long period of time.

We are a professional outfit and as such you would hope Jelle has had the appropriate help in order to try and get him settled in.

I would hope that the option of his family joining him has been explored as much, if not more than the option of him leaving.

Hopefully the matter can be resolved to everyone's satisfaction soon. Are the management right in thinking that his psychological state is helped by him not playing rather than being in the thick of it?

He looks the sort of character that fans could really get behind. Distinctive in appearance and keen to get forward against Stoke, I think he could become a fan favourite if he is up for it.

I get the feeling that most fans are.

Ward and Elokobi have both had chances and have been discussed at length by Wolves fans for a long time. It is not their faults that they both have traits that render them unsuitable for a team hoping to survive their second premiership season in a row.

Both players try (which after all appears to be Mick's starting benchmark), but fall short of the required standard.

I am grateful for their effort, but we should be looking for better. Wolves management, please get behind Jelle.

He may be wobbling at the moment, but we can mould him into a useful player.

We need to gel a team around him.

I need to get my coat!

Agree Old Gold- he is the obvious answer and was brought in as a left back. I think with a run in the team, which would go a long way to improving results, might just cheer him up a bit. As for why his wife hasn't got on a plane is only for them to answer. Sadly, I assume he will be going home in January.

Maybe, Old Gold, but if you had been at Leeds for the friendly you would have seen left-back Van Damme run ragged by Max Gradel. One swallow does not a summer make, or vice-versa, but it certainly filled me with worry about what was going to happen when VD met Lennon, Walcott, and other top PL wingers. VD looks a very useful, dynamic and powerful midfielder to me. Why not play him there? That is, if he's motivated.
Nippy Lobo
yeah he seemed to be more attack minded than a defender, but with the usual radio silence from WWFC we will never know. Like we never now about anything. Just hand over your cash and shut the ***** up.
