We need the fans behind us says McCarthy

Mick McCarthy has called for the fans to get behind the squad.

The more you read McCarthy's comments the more you wonder whether he knows his head is on the chopping block this weekend.

The pressure might have been building for McCarthy amongst the supporters and media but we're non-the-wiser in regards to the thoughts of Morgan and Moxey. Is the next game really the must-win it's been built up to be?

"The fans are vital to the club, but in times of trouble and strife it`s support that we need more than ever - whether it be a player, the team or whoever.' McCarthy told the Express & Star.

He continued: "It needs that arm around us saying 'come on lads, we`ll all get behind you together.`

"If they don`t, it makes life increasingly difficult. We`ve got to get together and hopefully out of adversity comes strength and we win.

"If we do, brilliant, if we don`t, the consequences will be there.

"The fans might boo, but I`m not looking beyond thinking we`re going to win."

Vital Wolves Comment: The consequences will be there?? Is that a hint Mick??
