Hunt needs time

The best is yet to come from Stephen Hunt and with Wolves desperate to pick up results, we're all desperate for Hunt to discover his form sooner rather than later.

It's been a long process for Hunt, 10 months out injured with a broken foot meant that is recovery time was always going to be slow.

But considering we waited so long to see him in a Wolves shirt the pressure is there to perform from Day 1.

'It's not gone as well for him yet, as not as well as it could have done, and I think he'd have had goals if he'd been at full tilt.' McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'I think you'd have to give him two months to come back and be at full tilt and that's maybe even in a team which is flying - which we're not.

'That's making it tougher for him as well.'

Hunt has made six Premier League appearances for Wolves since recovering from injury. But as yet has not completed 90 minutes.

But Hunt has proved his quality in the Premier League for both Reading and Hull and with patience I believe Hunt will be a good signing.

Time, is (not) on our side. Unfortunately. Hammers got 6 pointer against Wigan and its pretty much accepted that this is Avrams last chance to save his job.

I, like everyone else, was counting the days until Hunt got back on the pitch. And he has had an impact, if only because we have had more width in attack. However, it is also clear that he is not yet up to full match fitness. It's very frustrating for him as well as for the fans. I know I am a real gloom-merchant but I think that our fortunes will improve when we get all our injured players back and 'firing on all cylinders'.
