Negotiations Rumble On

Wolves have released a statement regarding the ongoing discussions with captain Paul Ince.

the Guv'nor, who has 3 days to run on his current deal has been offered a one year deal, believed to be in keeping with their new revenue model.

CEO Jez Moxey told the clubs official site :

'Although there was no outcome to the negotiations, there was a willingness on both parts to carry on talking and we will be doing so again in the next day or so.'

With 3 days to go on his contract 'doing so again in the next day or so' may be cutting things a bit fine, but with The Guvnor never speaking of Wolves in anything other than glowing terms it could also be read as a positive sign that talks are close to an amicable resolution.

If you want to keep an experienced player (and captain) is this the best way to do so?
