'If It's Football, It's Vital'

90% think Wolves have what it takes

Last week Sky Sports's Andy Gray asked the question: Do Wolves have the ability to stay in the Premier League?

Well if he reads Vital Wolves which I'm sure he does, he will find the rather emphatic answer:

Yes 90%

No 10%

So with our confidence obviously on a high, Crete Wolf has sent in our new poll which asks: We travel to West Ham on New Years Day, how many points will we have by then?

we definately have what it takes.. we all know that we've been unfortunate in games not to take more.. (fulham, spurs, villa, utd). we've won our last 2 home games now so that's promising. we have to continue our good home form against wigan. i think we can definately beat them at home. west hams next 2 fixtures are tough for them and wigan have a tough one this wknd so this xmas period could turn out to be very good for us. and who knows how we'll fare at liverpool on the 29th, with their' stuttering form we can get points from them for definate. leading us into a huge game at upton park!! come mid january i can honestly see us in a much more comfortable position!!! Looking at Septembers poll looks like the majority (under 20 points) are going to be right,I'd take 20 points at this moment in time, perhaps we all knew something back then?.I still think we need a result of any kind on Sunday and to beat Wigan next game, otherwise it will leave us with too much to do in the new year,Jan and Feb are difficult for us so we need all the points we can get over the next 3 weeks.Operation upwards continues!up the Wolves.

I fancy us for draws at Albion and Liverpool, confident we will beat Wigan at home, so that would put us on 20 points from 20 games which will have us hitting the 'usually required' point per game ratio to stay up. We finished with 38 last season, 8 clear of relegation. I agree, I certainly think we will finish above Wigan and West Ham- I predicted those at the start of the season, with Blackpool- I think their bubble will burst indeed but they will have to have a spectacularly poor second half of the season to go down. I would say they need another 15 points from their remaining games which I can see them getting, which leave me looking at the likes of Fulham and Birmingham as more likely candidates at this point- we ourselves are most likely going to be fighting against relegation for the remainder of the season of course.

If Blackpool are going to escape, it's a leap of faith to think that we can move above Fulham and Birmingham. Birmingham will never play that badly again and surely Zamora will be back to help Fulham before the end of the season. On balance, it's more likely that Blackpool will implode, as Burnley did last year. However, I have been waiting for it to happen for some time, certainly before 20 November.

in terms of blackpool.. they have spurs, l'pool, sunderland away, and then man city away.. the next 4 games.. where as we can look at our fixtures and see points there.. we could overtake blackpool over the next 4 games quite easily!! is anyone else happy that zele ismail has signed a professional contract at the club? i cant wait to see him play.. he's such a talent!!

Blackpool are a different animal to Burnley- the comparisons are inevitable and there's no point me talking about their surprise wins so far this season because Burnley's fate was of course sealed over the second half of the season. Only time will tell- yes I think they will struggle but even their 'weakened' team very nearly drew away at Villa so if we take inevitable injuries into account that is no guarantee they will implode- look at our injury list last week and we won. Burnley lost Coyle remember and when he walked out I truly hoped he would go down and Burnley would stay up but he proved his caliber- look where he has got Bolton and look what happened to Burnley. There is already talk that Holloway is being targeted by a few clubs, one of which is West Ham and why the hell would he go there. Where is the attraction in Blackburn? I can't see him leaving for either of those and I think with him at the helm Blackpool will stay up. If Birmingham do play that badly again then they will be where they deserve, probably in the bottom three- they had a tremendous season last year, and have proven difficult to beat this season but the reality is they have won 3 games all season and can drop into the bottom three this weekend, as could Everton and who would have thought we would even be considering that in December. Of those above us I think we are a much better side than Wigan, and as good as Fulham. the way Blues, Villa and Everton have been playing there isn't much between us either. Blackburn blow hot and cold, we have already shown we can beat Stoke, and despite their win over Liverpool watch things turn very sour indeed as soon as Newcastle lose one.

I think Blackpool will survive,in fact I think all the promoted teams will!they have I think, done enough and can have a poorer second half to the season and still be ok.They all need about 16 points maybe less and I think they will get them.Bham,Fulham and Blackburn after sacking their manager with possibly Stoke joining the mix are the ones we will be fighting it out with us for survival. We need to get results in the next 2 games to hit 19 or 20 points at the halfway mark otherwise it will I think, leave us with too much to do.Other factors can also have an effect,a change in manager could for one of the teams have a positive reaction and increase pressure on teams around them. After the holiday period we will all have a better idea of the way things will 'pan out',lets hope it will be looking a lot better after 3 points on sunday!.Operation Upwards continues,I am heading to my daughters in Athens for the holidays but will be taking my laptop to stay in touch and watch us online in the quest for points.May I take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Xmas and a happy and healthy new year to you all.Up the Wolves!.

The disappointment settles in after learning of the postponement. Playable pitch, unsafe access to the ground- country wide. All eyes on Boxing Day then. Home to Wigan, Fulham home to West Ham.
