Fulham & Wolves target Sercombe

League One Exeter City are bracing themselves for the loss of their promising young midfielder Liam Sercombe with ourselves and Fulham reportedly interested.

talkSPORT have suggested that the 20-year-old would cost around £350,000, a snip if his potential can be realised.

Despite his young age he has already made 84 appearances in League One after coming through the youth ranks at the Devon club.

Is he a Jones type inner midfielder or a Henry type? His goal-scoring record suggests the latter. Is he good enough: remember George Friend.

Another 'one for the future',I hope we are also looking for 'one for the present',not injured, not a foreigner wanting 2 yrs to 'adjust',just a normal ready to play expierienced premier league midfielder.

Amen to that, Crete Wolf ... and a central defender and a left back of the same sort.

Well, this is the third such player we have been linked with in the space of two weeks. The young and hungry brigade got us where we are today, or promoted at least and we shall probably never find better value for money than Kightly (okay, and Bully) but agreed- I'm not sure the club expect a 21 year old to climb two divisions and help keep us in the Premiership. As with all signings, I'll believe it when I see it, and even if he does sign, I doubt we will see him play this season. His hand may have been forced against Blues due to injuries but Mick is showing increased faith in having the youth in and around the first team. I'm intrigued as to who we are going to bring in.
