Uncle Woy wobbed by Merlin!

Uncle Woy wobbed by Merlin!

Well played Wolves, I think?

Now not wanting to spoil the party but haven't we been here before?

Yes, after the Birmingham match. At the time several of us said that 'was it us that were good or were B'ham bad?

Well we got our answer last Sunday against Wigan!

Liverpool were not bad, they were abysmal, there is a famous sign as you leave the dressing rooms, it says 'This is Anfield' I think they should change it to 'This WAS Anfield'.

Never mind, I'll take 3 points anyway we can get them at this stage. So Merlin and the five full backs head off to Upton Park, lets hope we get a better response this time after a win, if ever there was a six pointer this is it!

Will he play the converted striker as a striker?

Will he play the striker on the bench?

Only Merlin knows.

You have to hand it to him, whenever the pressure builds he seems to 'pull the rabbit out of the hat' or should I say wabbit?

The other teams around us are getting results as well and the wait for Blackpool to 'implode' looks like its not going to happen and well done to them I say.

Merlin and the five full backs simply have to win, a draw wont do any favours to both sides and my personal opinion is that the way things are going it will take a record points total to stay up this year, we are exactly half way through the season and we have 18 points, we obviously have to do a lot better in the second half to survive.

As for last night the five full backs played well, we still look short on goals though, what must it do for Fletchers confidence that a full back is ahead of him in the pecking order?

They all worked extremely hard and closed down very well.

New faces to come in? He must surely buy defenders and a quality midfielder is a 'must', do we need a left back to replace the left back who is now a striker? All should be revealed by next week maybe?

Saturday 3pm is 'Hammertime' for Merlin, Coco and the five full backs to get things moving and get another win on the bounce.

As New York Wolf would say 'Its been emotional' as always 'Up the Wolves'.

Just imagine the position we would be in if we won the games we were favourites for and then picked up these unexpected results on top.

Crete Wolf: as you can see from my own report, we are in perfect harmony on this one. An isolated victory against a sub-standard team will not enable us to avoid the drop. I know we beat Liverpool but I think the words 'Red Lion Sunday League F.C.' were missed off the name. They were awful. But what would have happened had Meireles scored, as he should have done, in the sixth minute? Bang would have gone our game plan. We scored a nicely worked goal but for all our superiority, we should have bagged a sackful. What does Fletcher have to do to start a match? That said, I am pleased for Ward, whom I have criticized for his displays at left back. The match against WHU will be the real test. Parker is already psyching up his team and I hope we are doing likewise. But who knows: we hardly raised a sweat against Wigan. It's a game of two games, strangely captured in the juxtaposition of the contrasting images of MM I used at the top of my Wigan and Liverpool reports. To allow me to wear out his smily image he needs to buy defenders ... but, given the mixed bag of players linked with us, he needs to choose wisely. Will £6m be enough?

Good win guys.Have to say big Mick does look like Sam, the american eagle, from the muppets.Anyways after that frankly pointless piece of information, good luck against the spammers, beat them and you're more likely to sign Robbie,i think everyone would like to see him finish up at Wolves,as opposed to helping keep the hammers up.That would be tragic!
