Jez targets 2 or 3 new signings for Wolves

Jez targets 2 or 3 new signings for Wolves

We might have missed out on signing Steve Sidwell again, but Wolves CEO Jez Moxey remains philosophical.

Anyone watching Sky Sports News over the last couple of days would have just been waiting for the official announcement that Sidwell had joined Wolves.

The 28-year-old reportedly agreed to join Wolves on two separate occasions and was even at the game during the week, watching his never-to-be teammates beat Chelsea.

Personal terms and terms with Aston Villa were all agreed, but a late twist saw Fulham swoop and kill off the deal.

'Fulham have now come in for him, and, rather than take over his contract which runs to the end of the season, they have offered him a long-term deal.' Jez told Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'Even after a few days into the window's opening, it's already proving just as difficult as in previous years.

'However we continue to actively pursue at least two or three potential new signings.'

Let's spend the lot on Lescott.

If Villa can get Bentley from Tottenham and Blues can get Keane we really have to be looking at the same quality, as mentioned above, along the lines of Bridge and Lescott. It's a gamble but considering Harry is unloading half his squad just so he can afford to put David Beckham up in a B&B for a fortnight I'd go in for Woodgate. I've heard that if we pay 40% of his wages a pair of crutches are thrown in for free, pay 50% and Robbie Keane will drop him off in a wheelchair.

it appears we will miss out on bridge for sure as he has an offer from villa and west ham have said they would be prepared to pay his wages in full. we should look at the likes of gibbs at arsenal for a loan deal or stephen warnock who is apparently not happy at villa after being dropped at the weekend and with the arrival of bridge on the cards he would be available for sure. gibson on loan again from united? i actually think that the defence are starting to come good now.. when we were making horrific mistakes every week the we had a different back 4 every week so i think there were some unsettled performances.. we've had the same back 4 now for a while and our form has improved. we were playing really well but mistakes were costing us, now hopefully we can carry on with the performances, cut out the mistakes and mve up the table!!!!! I can't believe I am going to say this but I agree with you, Smithy Wolves (that is, it 's not that I can't believe what you are saying, rather I can't believe that I am warming to our central defenders).

Having just listened to the commentary of the match against Doncaster, I want to disassociate myself from the last statement.

strong side as well. I do love the FA cup but as I said previously I would have happily sacrificed defeat today for points on the table next week. Now we have a worse case scenario of a replay. With any fixture congestion he will have to field a weaker team and we'll probably get beat so today was a waste of time really.

I'd play a full complement of second teamers. But to more important matters, who will we put in at left back now that George can't play?
