Hammill a wanted man

Possible Wolves target Adam Hammill is a wanted man during this Premier League transfer window.

It's thought that along with Dundee striker Leigh Griffiths, Mick McCarthy is also chasing Barnsley winger Adam Hammill.

Internet stories suggest that Hammill is keen to leave Barnsley (no offence but not exactly a big surprise when a Premier League side is linked to you) and reports suggest he has options from another Premier League side.

So why are two Premier League clubs interested in the 22-year-old?

Well that lad has pedigree, he came through the youth set-up at Liverpool winning the FA Youth Cup in 2006. He never made an appearance for Liverpool, but did go out on loan to Dunfermline Athletic, picking up a Scottish FA Cup runners-up medal along the way.

Loan spells in England followed at Southampton, Blackpool and Barnsley, before he made that last deal permanent.

Now after 60 odd appearances he's looking to make the step up again and reports suggest he has a £500,000 get-out-clause which if triggered automatically allows the bidding club to discuss personal terms.

Do we need another winger for the development squad? What about the development of the first team, namely, the purchase of a central defender and a left back. In my latest report (nudge, nudge) I speculated that Zubes might occupy that position.

if we want to sign a winger we should look to hearts young winger David Templeton. he's very good.. also their' centre-back Ismael Bouzid and captain Marius Zaliukas are good players

Gosh! You do study your football teams, SmithyWolves. Perhaps, you should offer your services as a scout.
