Hod Bricks It

Outgoing manager Glenn Hoddle's Monday meeting with CEO Jez Moxey has been put on hold.

Jez told the clubs official site :

'Glenn has informed me that he has a family issue he needs to deal with today and so he is unable to make the meeting,'

'He has said he will contact me later today to confirm when he will be available to meet.

'In the meantime, the board of directors are drawing up a plan of action.'

The decision to postpone the meeting to finalise Hoddle's exit from the club will ultimately be seen as another case of Glenn Hoddle not wanting to face the music.

And after attempting to bury news of his resignation by releasing a statement an hour before the most important National team game for 4 years he may now find himself friendless in the West Midlands for quite a long time.

I truly wonder why Glenn is subjected to such villification and unwarranted attacks. "Bury" news of his resignation? Hoddle is no longer entitled to his own personal schedules & timings? Must his every action be demonised?

It is also hardly news that is going to change the national headlines either. Its not like a Government pushing through some dodgy laws under the cover of World Cup darkness, only Glenn departing Wolves and not something 98% of the footballing community give a ***** about.

In cricket the two captains ***** a coin to decide who bats or bowls first, it hardly requires 5 asterixes!
