Two Wolves players in England provisional squad

Fabio Capello named two Wolves players in his recent England provisional squad for the match against Denmark.

The provisional squad of 40 is never announced until it is cut down to the squad expected to be involved in the game.

Both members of the Wolves team who were named in the recent squad failed to make the cut.

'Fabio and his staff go around the country having a look at players and I spoke to Fabio when I went to watch a game at Manchester United and I sat with him,' McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

So who from our squad is the England manager interested in? 'He told me he was keen on Karl.' continued Mick.

He added: 'That's good for me but it's even better still for Karl when you hear the England manager saying it, or anyone else for that matter outside your own club.

'it's nice when the England manager says it.

'It's lovely recognition for him and for Matt Jarvis to have got picked in the provisional squad.

Vital Wolves Comment: It would have been nice for Fabio to actually finish the job and call up one or even both Matt Jarvis and Karl Henry.

It was only a friendly and what did he really learn by giving run outs to the old established players?

Cant understand why Capello would consider Karl Henry. He is often the weak link in our midfield - especially since his return.
