'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wolves must beat Blackpool

There's no dressing it up, says Mick, we've now reached that stage, that it a must-win-game against Blackpool.

'It's a game we have got to win - there's no point dressing it up.' our Mick openly told Wolves Official Website.

Having been a stoppage time goal away from the win over West Brom and two points closer to safety, the game against Blackpool has quickly become the biggest game of the season.

Mick added: 'Had we got six points out of the West Brom and Blackpool games then that would have been fabulous.

'But after drawing the first one, we need to make it four points out of the two matches - and that would be a good return.

'Then the point at The Hawthorns becomes a really a positive result.'

Vital Wolves Comment: Defeat for Wigan and a win by three goals for Wolves against Blackpool would see us climb out of the relegation zone on Saturday evening.

However, even if it's scrappy win by a single goal, then we will still be well poised to jump up another place on Monday night if the Baggies lose by two at Stoke.

Yes, this is the crunch game of the season. If we lose, I already know the content of all the blog messages, mine included. I fervently hope that we will have to scrap them and breathe a collective sigh of relief come 5 pm tomorrow, admitting that, yet again, Merlin has pulled it off at the very last moment. We can do it; it's just a case of the right team turning up and going for it right up to the final whistle. Whatever the result, there will be no celebratory or commerative drink for me though, as I am on anti-inflammatories again. Bugger: a pint of Banks's best bitter is one of the pleasures of travelling up to a match.

commerative = commiserative, that is (in relation to a pint of Banks's beer) the act of drowning one's sorrows.

less than a few weeks after Mcmuppet announced our players are all in it together even if we go down fat moxey announces Wolves will sell should we get relegated. Doyle Jarvis Wayne and Fletch go bye bye... atleast we will have a nice big stadium to watch Scunthorpe from. Defeat for Wigan and a win by three goals for Wolves eh? You dont ask for much.

Ad Mant: I also picked up on the irony of JM's statement. It's the subject of a considered report though, one which I am not going to contemplate at the moment.
