Players can handle the pressure

According to Mick McCarthy the Wolves players can handle the pressure of another relegation battle.

Which is just as well as this week he has already told the press that the game against Blackpool is one that 'we have got to win', if there wasn't pressure before, there certainly is after such a bold statement as that.

'I don't doubt the players' ability to deal with pressure situations at all,' Mick told Wolves Official Website.

Looking back on last season when we hit form just at the right time, Mick added: 'I really don't think for one minute that the pressure is getting to them because they've handled it well.

'We're going to have to play as well as we did last season when we went to Burnley and were solid and won and then got a point at Villa and ran riot at West Ham.

'They are the performances we are going to have to find.'

Vital Wolves Comment: The game against Blackpool is certainly crucial, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it was must-win.

If we don't get the win and Blackpool are a side that have just beaten Spurs, it doesn't mean the season is over and relegation is confirmed.

Far from it in fact, we'll still be well within touching distance and other chances will come along.

We're running out of games for those chances to come, but cool heads will prevail.

I think the evidence of the second half of the WBA match suggests otherwise. It's been ever thus this season.
